Face to Face

SOOOOOOOOO

I had my Face to Face interview yesterday in London at the Disney Head Offices. After finding people on Facebook I met up with them beforehand at Costa in Hammersmith so we could all go together. Walking into the entrance area and seeing everyone got my nerves going. We were escourted upstairs by security and taken to the cinema screen they have there. Jeff and Jill from Disney were there to greet us before starting the presentation, it was exactly the same as the one we seen in manchester/london pre-screen interviews but with some further detail and cheesy videos.

After the presentation we were given our times (mine being 4pm and the last being 4:20) and told we could do whatever we want till then but were told we should be there 20 mins before so our paper work could be checked. So I had from 10:40 to 3:20 before my interview. I had dinner with my Dad and drank way to much coke and hot chocolate with fellow interviewees and just talked about what was going on.

I went back to the offices for 3:30 for my paper work to be checked and discovered they were running behind on the interviews so I wasnt seen until 4:50. I got Jill who was really lovley and was paired up with someone (who I met in Costa via Facebook earlier that morning so I knew her) We shook hands and had a laugh before the interview started. Jill asked us :-

What we did?
How we spent our spare time?
What roles could we see ourselves doing?
How we could cope with sharing rooms?

and asked questions in further detail to the ones above. It lasted 20 minutes which was a short amount of time but I feel I done my best and hope I done enough. We should find out before Monday next week according to Becky and Nick so yet again the wait continues.......

First Interview

Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't blogged till now, but anyhoo im here now and LOTS has happened. So I had my first interview in Late January at Manchester Met University. All was well but there was way more people then I expected. We waited for Nick and Emma from Yummy Jobs to arrive and was then taken into a Lecture room and started off with a quiz about all things Disney and then had a powerpoint presentation which went into further detail about getting there, roles, living and earning and basically other things which came of intrest and were then given out interview times (mine being1:10 witht the last being around 4pm) As I stated in my last blog they have changed the phone interviews into group interviews with either Nick or Becky. I had Nick who was lovely and really laid back which pretty much calmed everyones nerves.

To start the interview we had to introduce eatchother to Nick and the rest of the group by telling everyone thier name, what they are currently doing and an intresting fact about them. After this Nick asked us a question and went around the table to for everyones answers and then everyone had extra time to chip in and discuss the question. Things we were asked were:-

Why we want to work at Disney?
What role we would be intrested in ?
What brands did we like and why?
What disney character would we be?

We were asked a lot more but these were the ones I could remember. The interview lasted around 40 minutes and I really loved it and met some fab people. Becky said we would find out the following Monday and so the anticipation began. At 7:20 pm that Monday after a gruelling day of waiting and refreshing my emails every 2 minutes I recived an email from Becky...........

I GOT THE NEXT INTERVIEW FOR FEBRUARY 13TH AT DISNEY HEAD OFFICES :D:D:D:D.
